Nashik school to adopt soldier’s son

A Nashik school has decided to adopt the son of the soldier who was killed in last week’s firing by the Pakistani troops on the Line of Control. “This is our humble tribute to Ajit Gaokar’s supreme sacrifice. The school will take care of his son’s education, boarding and all related expenses,” a trustee of the Kishor Suryawanshi International School told . Gaokar’s father Shivaji, a former mill worker, was happy that society came forward to acknowledge his son’s sacrifice. After a week of gloom, this was good news and Omkar, the six-year-old, is now assured of the best of education, a family friend said. However, Sheetal, his mother, may not want her son to be separated from her, he added. The Gaokar family lives in the Spring Mill compound, Naigaon. The younger son, Ansh, is only six-months old.
