In Nashik city Shiv Sena protests LPG, diesel price hike

Nashik city unit of Shiv Sena, headed by district chief Sunil Bagul and city unit chief Arjun Tile today staged demonstration at Central Bus Stand area this afternoon against diesel and gas price hike. The protest led to a traffic jam, police said. Sena activists, including women, put up make-shift stove and made chapatis using firewood as fuel, by way of protest against increase in LPG price. Another demonstrations in Dwarka area blocked the busy Mumbai-Agra national highway, but police rounded up the activists and cleared the road in nashik city.

HSC results declared in Nashik 76.90 % students pass

The results of the Maharashtra Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) were declared on Friday with the state recording a passing percentage of 70.69%. Kolhapur division has topped the passing percentage with (82.55%) followed by Pune (79.32%), Mumbai (77.03%), Nashik (76.90%), Nagpur (67.13%), Aurangabad (59.30%) and Latur (56.57%) while the lowest passing percentage has been recorded in Amravati with 48.80%.
